Acceptance of Terms
By accessing and using the Docubays Language Academy website or by enrolling in any of our language programmes, you acknowledge that you have read, understood and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you should discontinue use of our website and services immediately. These terms apply to all students, prospective students, website visitors and any other individuals who access our services in any capacity.
Enrolment and Payment
All course fees must be paid in full before the scheduled start date of your chosen programme. We accept payment via bank transfer, online payment and major credit or debit cards. For programmes spanning more than twelve weeks, instalment plans may be arranged upon request and are subject to approval by our admissions team.
- A non-refundable registration fee of RM150 is payable at the time of enrolment to secure your place in the programme.
- Course fees are quoted in Malaysian Ringgit (MYR) and are inclusive of standard course materials unless stated otherwise.
- Enrolment is only confirmed once full payment or an approved instalment arrangement has been received. A confirmation email will be issued to the email address provided during registration.
- Docubays Language Academy reserves the right to adjust course fees for future intakes. Any fee changes will not affect students who have already completed payment for a confirmed intake.
Course Schedules and Attendance
Class schedules are published prior to each intake and are subject to reasonable adjustments where necessary. Docubays Language Academy will notify enrolled students of any schedule changes as promptly as possible via email or telephone.
- Students are expected to maintain a minimum attendance rate of 80% across the duration of their programme. Failure to meet this threshold may disqualify you from receiving a certificate of completion or from sitting for any associated certification examination.
- Make-up sessions for missed classes may be arranged subject to instructor availability and classroom capacity. We cannot guarantee that a make-up session will cover identical content to the original class.
- Docubays Language Academy reserves the right to cancel or reschedule a course if the minimum enrolment threshold is not met. In such cases, affected students will be offered a full refund or a transfer to the next available intake at no additional cost.
Intellectual Property
All course materials, lesson plans, workbooks, audio recordings, video content and supplementary resources provided by Docubays Language Academy are the intellectual property of the academy or its licensors. Students are granted a limited, non-transferable licence to use these materials solely for personal study purposes in connection with their enrolled programme.
- Reproducing, distributing, uploading or sharing any course materials in whole or in part, whether in physical or digital form, is strictly prohibited without prior written consent from Docubays Language Academy.
- The Docubays name, logo and associated branding elements are proprietary marks. Unauthorised use of these marks is not permitted.
Student Conduct
Docubays Language Academy is committed to providing a respectful, inclusive and productive learning environment for all students. By enrolling in our programmes, you agree to adhere to the following standards of conduct:
- Treat fellow students, instructors and staff with courtesy and respect at all times.
- Do not record, photograph or livestream any class session, whether in person or online, without obtaining prior written consent from the instructor and all participants present.
- Refrain from any form of harassment, discrimination or disruptive behaviour during classes, on our premises or within any online learning platforms associated with the academy.
- Comply with all instructions issued by academy staff regarding the use of facilities, equipment and shared learning spaces.
Docubays Language Academy reserves the right to suspend or terminate the enrolment of any student who breaches these conduct standards, without entitlement to a refund.
Limitation of Liability
Docubays Language Academy strives to deliver high-quality language education; however, we do not guarantee specific learning outcomes or examination results. Our liability to you in connection with our services shall not exceed the total course fees you have paid for the specific programme in question. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Docubays Language Academy shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from your use of our website or participation in our programmes.
Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Malaysia. Any dispute arising from or in connection with these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
Amendments
Docubays Language Academy reserves the right to revise these Terms and Conditions at any time. Updated terms will be published on this page with a revised effective date. Continued use of our website or services after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the amended terms. We recommend reviewing this page periodically to stay informed of any updates.
