Our Japanese programme has prepared students for the Japanese-Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) since 2001. From writing your first hiragana strokes to reading newspaper editorials in kanji, every lesson is guided by native instructors from Tokyo and Osaka who bring real-world fluency into the classroom.

Students progress through hiragana, katakana and kanji in a structured sequence, building reading, listening, speaking and writing skills simultaneously. Cultural activities — including tea ceremony workshops, shodo calligraphy sessions and seasonal festival celebrations — are woven into the curriculum so you absorb the language in its living context.

Curriculum

Course Levels

Three stages take you from absolute beginner to professional-level Japanese, each aligned with the official JLPT framework.

Foundation (N5–N4)

Build a solid base in everyday Japanese over 24 weeks. You will master both kana scripts, learn roughly 800 kanji, and develop the listening stamina needed for the JLPT N4 exam.

Over 16 intensive weeks, bridge the gap between textbook Japanese and natural conversation. Intermediate students tackle longer reading passages, workplace scenarios and informal speech patterns.

The 24-week advanced track is for dedicated learners targeting university admission, corporate roles in Japan or interpreter-level fluency. Expect rigorous kanji study, essay writing and debate practice.

What Makes Our Japanese Programme Special

Every instructor on the Japanese team is a native speaker with formal teaching qualifications from institutions in Japan. They do not simply explain grammar rules — they recreate the rhythm of daily life in Tokyo and Osaka inside the classroom, using authentic materials such as NHK broadcasts, manga excerpts and J-drama clips.

Cultural immersion is not an add-on; it is part of the syllabus. Each term includes a tea ceremony demonstration, a calligraphy workshop and a Japanese cooking session, giving students the cultural literacy that makes their language skills truly functional.

Since 2001 our graduates have secured JLPT certifications, won scholarships to Japanese universities and landed roles with Japanese multinationals across South-East Asia. Our pass rate for JLPT N3 and above consistently exceeds 85 percent.
